Its lines are simpler and more minimalist than those of the imposing palaces and villas lining the Riviera del Brenta. Tenuta C’ Zen was built by the aristocratic Zen family in the 1700s, Venetian nobility who came to the Po Delta to farm the vast areas of agricultural land, building imposing farmhouses and hunting lodges for sport. The Villa’s chapel dedicated to Saint Margaret is even older, dating back a further 300 years.
In 1997, the current owner had the idea to open the doors of the house to the visitors from all over the world who come to the Po Delta Park near Rovigo. In 2004, her daughter Maria Adelaide began the huge and challenging task of restoring and refurbishing the buildings of the villa.
Today this historic country retreat is a sustainable and welcoming destination with its own restaurant and a busy calendar of guided tours led by the owner, for an authentic flavour of the property.
You can stay at the villa and relax in these glorious rural surroundings, as well as hosting intimate weddings and unusual team building events thanks to our network of local partners.
